An Bord Pleanala uphold Kildare County Council’s Decision to grant permission for works to Jones Public House in Clane

An Bord Pleanala have upheld the decision of Kildare County Council to grant permission for retention works and a series of new works to Jones Public House in Clane, Co. Kildare.

The Board commented that having regard to the location of the site within the historic core to Clane village, to
the ‘town centre’ land use zoning objective of the site, to the longstanding use of the property as a public house, to the evolving nature of public house uses and the necessity to accommodate same in appropriately zoning locations, and the proposals to restrict and monitor noise emissions from the facility, it was considered that the proposed development, subject to compliance with the conditions set out below, would not seriously injure the amenities of residential properties in the vicinity and would be in accordance with the proper planning and sustainable development of Clane town centre.

There had been two third party appeals.
