Aldi Refused Permission in Newbridge

Kildare County Council have refused Aldi planning permision for a discount food store on lands forming part of the Keadeen Hotel.  There were 3 reasons for refusal relating to serious traffic hazard, inappropraite location at the edge of the town centre and injury to the amenity of properties in the vicinity.  The applicants have 4 weeks to appeal the decision to An Bord Pleanala.

    totally ironic given the fact that Roseberry construction have been operating an unlicensed quarry right beside the Aldi site for over 2 years now. Kildare county council not too worried about the impact on homes and families in the elms the decision to INVITE roseberry to start clearing and levelling the site in the absence to the upgrade of osberstown waste water treatment plant.
